With a VITMEE rank of 1598, you have a very strong chance of getting admission into the M.Tech Biotechnology program at VIT, particularly at the Vellore campus. In previous years, the closing rank for this program has gone as high as 20,000, which places your rank well within the safe range. VIT does give some preference to GATE-qualified candidates, but even without a GATE score, your VITMEE rank alone is good enough for Biotechnology.
