With a rank of around 25,686 in INI-CET and General category, the chances of getting AIIMS Microbiology are very low. In most counselling rounds, AIIMS seats (even for non-clinical branches like Microbiology) close at much better ranks. That said, counselling patterns can change slightly every year, so you should still participate in all rounds, including mop-up, if you’re eligible. Keep backup options open in other INIs or central institutes, and don’t rely only on AIIMS at this rank.

I know this is very disappointing but you can explore other options too.

Thankyou

With a rank around 25,686 in INICET under the general category, the chances of getting a seat in AIIMS for Microbiology are very low. AIIMS institutes usually close Microbiology seats for the general category at much lower ranks because the number of seats is very limited and the competition is high.

However, this rank may still give you a chance in some of the newer or less competitive institutions that participate in INICET, especially in later rounds or the open round, where cutoffs can shift depending on seat withdrawals and up-gradation by higher-ranked candidates. You should also keep in mind that sometimes candidates with better ranks opt for other courses like MD/MS, which may slightly open up chances for paramedical and non-clinical specialties in the later stages.

To maximize your chances, participate in all rounds of counselling, fill every possible option where your rank might realistically reach, and remain open to seats in non-AIIMS institutes as well. This approach improves the likelihood of obtaining a Microbiology seat even if AIIMS remains out of reach at this rank. All the best.

Hello,
A rank of 25686 in INICET under the general category is generally not high enough to get a seat in microbiology at AIIMS. Seats in this field at AIIMS tend to close at much lower ranks because the intake is very limited. You may still have chances in other institutes with higher closing ranks, but AIIMS specifically is unlikely at this rank.
I hope this helps you.

Hello,

Sorry, but with a UR rank of 25686 in INI-CET, getting Microbiology at AIIMS is highly unlikely, because according to past trends you'll need much lower ranks. But you'll still have chances for the non-clinical programs in mop-up rounds.

I hope it will clear your query!!
