Ive applied for change in phone number and photo of aadhar card and its in process. Ive not received the new card yet. Can I register for inicet 2025 Nov using old aadhar card which has different phone number and photo?

Aadesh Sharma 11th Oct, 2025

INI CET  is a national level PG examination. For the registration process the older version of your identity proof, your previous aadhaar card is acceptable. The reason is fairly simple because aadhaar proves your identity as an individual, the phone no is not written on an aadhaar card explicitly and the photo has fairly less to do in the registration process. All your documents including your previous degrees are already linked to your aadhaar no. and using the older one is no where a problem in this.

I have submitted my inicet November application from successfully and made payment also, but i havent received confirmation yet .how to check if my application accepted aur rejected, and where to generate EUC .

SEJAL JAIN 9th Oct, 2025

Hello

Do not need to worry

  • You’ve done well by submitting and paying for your INI-CET form.

  • If no confirmation has come yet, don’t worry, it might take some time.

  • Log in at aiimsexams.ac.in and check your application status.

  • It will show if your form is accepted or needs correction.

  • Once accepted, you can generate your EUC from the same website.

  • If confused, contact the AIIMS helpdesk with your details for help.

i have submitted my November inicet form successfully, and payment is also done, but i havent received any confirmation mail from aiims, how to know if my application is accepted or rejected??

Rahul Mandal 9th Oct, 2025

Hello,

To determine the status of your INICET form, log in to your account on the official AIIMS website and check the "Application Status" or "Registration Status" on your dashboard for an "Accepted" or "Rejected" message. If the application is rejected, a correction window will allow you to fix the issues and resubmit.

I hope it will clear your query!!

INICET COUNSELLING GUIDANCE regarding the eligibility criteria for fmgs so

Taabia Fathima 5th Sep, 2025

Hey Charan:)

Thanks for reaching out!

Foreign Medical Graduates (FMGs) are eligible for INI-CET counselling if they meet certain conditions. They must have an MBBS degree from a recognised foreign university and a valid FMGE pass certificate, Along with this, FMGs must have completed a 12- month rotatory internship before the last date of application and must also hold a valid registration certification from the NMC or state medical council . Once these conditions are met, they can participate in INI-CET counselling just like Indian MBBS graduates.

Sir I am under OBC category but dont have certificate made now. So I have filled general category for May INICET 2025. Will I be able to change my category from GEN to OBC during further attempt in INICET Nov 2025? Should I register freshly for INICET Nov 2025?

lakshya sharma 2nd Sep, 2025

Hello Kavin,

Since you have filled the General category for INI-CET May 2025 due to not having an OBC certificate ready, you are wondering if you can change your category to OBC for the November 2025 attempt. The answer depends on the exam rules followed by AIIMS for INI-CET.

1. Fresh Registration for Each Session
AIIMS conducts INI-CET twice a year—in May and November. For every new session, candidates are required to complete a fresh registration process. This means you can update your details, including category, in the next attempt. So, if you have your valid OBC (NCL) certificate by that time, you can apply under the OBC category during INI-CET November 2025 registration.

2. Category Certificate Requirements
AIIMS requires the OBC certificate to be issued within a specific timeframe (usually within 1 year of the exam date and in the prescribed format). So, you should apply for your OBC certificate well in advance. Ensure it mentions “Non-Creamy Layer” and follows the exact AIIMS format; otherwise, it may get rejected.

3. No Change During the Same Session
Once you have submitted your application for INI-CET May 2025 under the General category, you cannot change it later for that attempt. The system does not allow mid-process corrections in category after final submission.

4. Next Attempt – November 2025
During the November 2025 registration, you can start fresh and select the OBC category. This will allow you to avail reservation benefits in that attempt.

In short: You cannot change your category for May 2025, but you can register afresh in November 2025 under OBC if you get your certificate ready in the correct format.

SHUBHRADIP ROY 28th Aug, 2025

Hello Aspirant,

Yes, your 54.6% score in the FMGE July 2025 exam is above the required 50% passing mark for the general category. This qualifies you to apply for a provisional medical license from the NMC. To be eligible for INICET and JIPMER , you must have a valid MBBS degree, complete your one-year internship, and possess an NMC registration number.

Can you walk me through the steps of spot allotment in inicet pg . Is there institute specific allotment or everything is unified . 3lakh deposit should be given for each institute or commonly under aiims .

Prachi Kumari 6th Aug, 2025

Hello,

Spot allotment in INI-CET PG is done by AIIMS Delhi through a centralised online process. It is not institute-specific. All INIs (AIIMS, JIPMER, NIMHANS, PGIMER, etc.) are included in the same unified counselling.

During spot round registration, candidates need to pay a refundable security deposit of Rs. 3 lakh . This amount is common for all INIs and not separate for each institute.

If you are allotted a seat and take admission, the amount is adjusted. If you don’t get a seat, it is refunded.

Hope it helps !

6906 rank inicet hold more chance in securing a less demanding clinical branch in a less demanding institute in spot allotment or open allotment?

gopi 28th Jul, 2025

Hello Aiswarya,

With a rank of 6906 in INI-CET, you would have a better chance of getting a less competitive clinical branch (e.g. ENT, anesthesia, pathology, or biochemistry) in the spot admission section as opposed to the open rounds because:

  • Spot admission has many seats left empty due to cancellations or students that simply do not report at all, especially in the less preferred institutes of all India during this time.
  • Many top rankers notify of their cancellations after making progress with their higher preference choices, i.e. many rankers apply to institutions like AIIMS, PGI, or NEET PG etc. and only consider other options after securing seats; less competitive branches have chances of freeing up vacancies as a result.
  • Open rounds still have competitive merit-based admission and many of the clinical seats fill early during the admission period so it comes down to a matter of availability of vacancies.

In summary, while there is no guarantee that you will receive an offer, you are more likely to get a seat during the spot allotment versus the open rounds if you are flexible with respect to the institute and branch choice.
