He got good marks in jee mains 2. On the basis of that rank he can  get a good college but he will not be able to get Computer science, information technology but he can get other branches in a good government college or in some other reputed private college under ipu.
IPU started taking admission through jee mains from this year so it will be little bit difficult to to tell anything about its cutoff. But you should not lose hope as he can get admission.
You can also apply for the counselling for dtu, nsut, iiitd for admission through jac Delhi. He can get some of the branches offered in these colleges. For that he have to register online at jac Delhi website before 17th June which is its last day of registration.
