According to the your sons rank the possibilities of getting any college through JOSSA counselling are very much low because as in JOSSA counselling only IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFITs are taking participation and the cut offs for this institutions are very higher than your sons rank. So I a suggesting you to not go with JOSSA counselling process.

As per your second option that is JAC Delhi so this is the very good option for your son. So definitely you should go through that process through which your son will get any decent college of Delhi.
