In 2016, the closing rank of VIT Vellore in CSE branch was 7000 whereas in 2015 the cutoff rank for CSE was 15000. The cutoff rank keeps changing every year as it depends on various factors. Moreover, there are almost 722 seats for CSE in VIT Vellore. And the seats of VIT Vellore are filled first. So try to secure a rank within 6000 to 8000 to be on safer side. http://engineering.careers360.com/articles/viteee-cutoff

rakhitriv not everyone takes admission even after giving exam, securing good rank. not everyone takes CSE.
