Hello dear student,

Greetings!

It should be your call whether you want to drop one more year or not. If you are someone who wants nit or iit at any cost and is ready to pay for it by working hard for jee preparation then you can think  about taking a drop,  otherwise you should not.

Although HIT is not that bad , it is an average college.

The college infrastructure is good Campus structure is good. The facilities are good.Placement is good but not upto the mark and that is too for some branches only.Haldia has many petrochemical industry that's why most of the students from chemical department gets placement with average package. Most of its placement comes from CSE and IT branch as the company visiting the college is Infosys,Wipro, tech Mahindra etc. which recruit mostly in IT sector.Other department has less placement as compared to CSE and IT(75-80%).And coming to the internship,no college does not provide any internship.

One of the best thing about this college is that the faculties are really helpful and not all but some of them are very talented and teaches in a friendly way.If someone is eager to know anything from their faculty, then it's right place.

thankyou

Hello,

If you want to drop another year for JEE - Main it should be totally your choice because only you know your caliber in studying. If you think you can increase your marks then you should drop another year but if you don't you can get into Haldia Institute of Technology. HIT is not at all a bad institute, it has a good placement score with many companies visiting the campus regularly. The fees of HIT is also not very high so if you go to this college it won't be a waste.

All The Best.
