The infrastructure of this college is spread massive and looks like mini city . For engineering students the computer labs are excellent featuring high speed internet and upgraded software . The library is filled with thousands of book and a peaceful reading area
The curriculum is upgraded regularly to include new technology like artificial intelligence , cloud computing etc . The faculty members are always supportive when we ask them question regarding our studies.
The placement is literally good specially for computer science and IT branches . Massive tech companies like TCS , cognizant and Wipro visits our campus every year to hire the deserving students .
The tuition and hostel fees is quite expensive , it makes a huge investment for middle class families . If studied hard , build a strong resume , and utilise the massive campus resources, the return on investment will be great .
The campus life is the best part of this university . The Grand college festivals, celebrity visits , annual sports tournament happens throughout the year making the environment highly energetic and unforgettable .
Infrastructure is good and reliable . From my perspective infrastructure is sufficient and enough for the students and a really vast area for the campus . Currently the infrastructure is still expanding and in under construction and will be better in the upcoming years.
I'm currently pursuing my btech in electronics and communication engineering branch and the quality of teaching is above average but not that much good . My course outcome and pragramme outcomes are totally helping me to build my career and grow .
Placements are really good . Almost every branch has above 90 percent of the placement and are in good companies . Students are really satisfied by their placements . Companies give priority to those who are really good at their academics .
College is totally value for money . Here you have a great campus life . If you're a first year , you'll really enjoy your campus life with your friends and teachers . Everyone is really cooperative and helps you to grow in your career and make you a good person .
Here you have a great campus life . If you're a first year , you'll really enjoy your campus life with your friends and hostels and infrastructure are also good enough to keep you in tact and attached to it .
Overall the college is really good . For a new beginning of your college life it is really necessary to have a great environment and surrounding with people that help you grow . The college provides you with good people , great teachers , friends like family , hostels , and every necessity that is required for you.

Yeah! Infrastructure is good, there have all type of facilities like lab, modern classroom , smart boards , playground, library, lift , hostel, canteen , WIFi etc all the facilities are available and well-maintained.
I am studying MBA in Marketing & HR in HIT haldia college . The fees are moderate , placement are decent , teaching quality are great and teacher are co-operative and well educated. Yes! curriculam are updated and basic recent development in the field.
Great placement but not all dept. some are good some are average and some are bellow average . Mainly depend on year and dept. wise but average 60-80% . Average salary 4-5 lack offered and placement process are moderate . yeah college is supportive .
Yeah its a value for money college.
Campus is best, a large campus with basic features
Yeah ! overall good
The college campus is spacious with modern classrooms equipped with smart boards and projectors. Laboratories are well-stocked with updated equipment for practice learning. The library offers a good selection of books and e-resources, while sports facilities and indoor recreation areas enhance campus life. Hostels are organized, clean, and provide a comfortable living environment with reliable Wi-Fi throughout the campus.
I am pursuing B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering because I'm passionate about embedded systems and communication technologies. The quality of teaching is strong-professors explain concepts clearly, share real-world case studies, and are supportive during doubts. The curriculum feels fairly current with industry trends, though I would like more hands-on project work and updated electives in AI/IoT to make it more industry aligned.
The placement scenario at our college has been promising. Around 70-80% of students got decent offers in core and IT fields. Top recruiters like Trueboard Cleantech, PWC consulting, and Exide Industries visited campus, offering roles in software development, electronics design, and data analysis. Average CTC hovered around respectable packages, and the placement cell organized timely training, resume workshops, and mock interviews which helped many secure jobs. However, a few more high-tier companies could make it even better.
My course costs approximately 1,80,000 rs. per year including tution and other fees. I feel it offers good value for money because the quality of education is strong-the faculty are experienced and supportive, and there's good lab infrastructure for hands-on learning. The placement cell also helps with resume building and interview preparation which made securing a job easier. Although costs are high, the overall support, practical exposure and career opportunities make it justified.
Campus life at my college is vibrant and engaging. The campus is spacious with lush green lawns and multiple common areas where students hang out between classes. There are regular cultural fests, technical events, and sports competition that keep the atmosphere energetic throughout the year. Student clubs in music, robotics, and quiz competitions are active and welcome new members. The cafeteria serves decent food and is a lively meeting spot, though more variety during evening would improve things. Overall, the supportive student community and frequent events make campus life exciting and memorable.
Overall, my experience at the college has been a journey of both academic and personal growth. Beyond classrooms and placements, the friendships, mentorship, and exposure to different perspective have helped shape my confidence and skills. While there are areas that can improve, the supportive environment and learning opportunities make it a place where students can truly develop themselves. Apart from academics and placements, the college has helped me grow as an individual.
Infrastructure at HIT Haldia is okay for MTech ECE. Labs got equipment for signal processing and circuits, but some old machines need update. Library big with journals, WiFi works in most places. Hostels separate for boys girls, clean but rooms small, mess food average spicy. Campus 37 acres green, sports ground for football, but no AC in classrooms, hot in summer. Helps labs but could be better.
Academics in MTech ECE decent, faculty mostly PhDs teach VLSI and comm systems well. Curriculum from MAKAUT, includes projects and seminars on wireless tech. Classes use projectors, but some topics outdated. Attendance strict, exams fair but practicals tough. Guides help with thesis if you ask. Not top like IIT but good for basics, NBA accredited. Average experience overall.
Placements for MTech ECE moderate, about 70 percent get jobs if good projects. Median package 4.75 LPA in 2023, highest around 10 LPA from Infosys, Wipro. Companies like TCS, Accenture come for software roles, core less. Recession hit 2024, less drives. Training helps interviews, but network off campus. Placement cell tries, better for IT than core. Depends on skills.
Fees about 1.9 lakh total for two years, low for private college. Gets labs, library and hostels cheap at 2k monthly. Placements okay so ROI fair if placed, else go for PhD. Compared to others, good deal in Haldia industrial area. No stipend but affordable living. Worth it for budget, but work hard for jobs. Decent bang for buck.
Campus life balanced at HIT, green 37 acres with fests like Utkarsh tech and cultural events. Clubs for ECE seminars, sports cricket gym active. Crowd mix local outside, friends easy in hostels. Canteen cheap meals, but Haldia quiet town, weekends boring. Seniors helpful, no ragging. Studies heavy but fun events. Heat tough, enjoyed the chill vibe.
College offers excellent infrastructure with modern classrooms, smart teaching aids, and advanced laboratories. Each department has well-equipped labs that support both basic and advanced experiments. The library is a knowledge hub with vast resources, both offline and digital. Hostels are secure and comfortable, catering to students from different parts of India. Sports facilities, auditoriums, and cultural halls allow students to explore beyond academics. The campus also has Wi-Fi access, medical facilities, and spaces for seminars and workshops
All teaching staff is supportive and committed to student development. Professors explain topics clearly, linking them to real-world examples. They provide personal attention to weaker students and motivate others to take part in research, workshops, and competitions. Teachers also guide students for higher education and professional exams. Many of them have industry or research backgrounds, which makes their teaching more practical.
College placement cell provides career guidance, resume preparation, aptitude training, and interview practice. Companies like Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Capgemini, Cognizant, and Accenture hire regularly. Some reputed companies from manufacturing, steel, and chemicals also visit for core branches. The average package ranges between ₹3.5–4 LPA, while the highest packages have touched ₹9–10 LPA. With continuous training and support, most students secure jobs before the end of their course
My Department consists good infrastructure and facilities. Spacious classrooms, modern labs, and a well-stocked central library provide a strong learning environment. The hostels are comfortable and safe, with 24/7 security and decent food. The college also has Wi-Fi across the campus, playgrounds for outdoor games, and halls for cultural programs. Regular maintenance ensures cleanliness in classrooms, hostels, and common areas. The campus is filled with greenery, providing a fresh and pleasant atmosphere for students
Computer Science engineering department faculty members are knowledgeable and enthusiastic about teaching. They use simple methods and examples to make complex engineering topics easier. Professors guide students in academic projects, industrial visits, and technical fests, which add practical exposure. They are approachable and provide guidance for career planning, placements, and higher studies. Many faculty members are involved in research, and students are encouraged to assist in these projects.
College have best placements. Placement performance is good and improving every year. IT companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, and IBM visit regularly, offering jobs to a large number of students. Core companies like L&T, Tata Steel, and construction firms also hire students from non-IT branches. The average package is around ₹3.8–4 LPA, and the highest salary packages have gone beyond ₹9 LPA. The training and placement department ensures students are ready with aptitude, communication, and coding skills.
