Hello aspirant,
Birla institute of technology is a private college.
It is a very good college.
If you are not satisfied with your choice of college and if you think you can achieve admission in one of the top iits by dropping an year go preparing iit exam then you must go ahead.
But if satified then go ahead with birla.
This us exactly what i would do.
