Coming to the question,
Jadavpur University in West Bengal, India offers the undergraduate courses of BA, B.Sc. and B.P.Ed.  as its program. The BA and B.Sc. courses are for a duration of three years and the B.P.Ed. Program is for a duration of two year. The application forms for all courses will be made available online the University website at different dates.

Jadavpur University offers 9 BA courses in different subjects through several departments, 5 B.Sc. courses and one B.P.Ed. Course. The University even offers several postgraduate and professional courses.

Jadavpur University has the following faculties that are offering the above-mentioned courses:

• Faculty of Arts
• Faculty of Arts  Department of Physical Science

The admission to some of these courses are made through entrance exams, while others on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying exam. The eligibility and the selection process differs from course to course.

However the criteria followed for Economics for various sections are-

General Category - 10+2 with 70% marks in aggregate and 75% marks in Mathematics.
PD - 10+2 with 66% marks in aggregate and 71% marks in Mathematics
SC/ST - 10+2 with 52% marks in aggregate and 56% marks in Mathematics
Kashmiri Migrants /sports - 10+2 with 63% marks in aggregate and 67% marks in Mathematics.

(i)B.A. (Economics) admission  may start  within 15 days from the date of publication of the ISC/CBSC/HS results (whichever is later).
(ii)B.A. admission criteria

Eligibility: At least 70% marks in aggregate (with mathematics being given 200% weight) and at least 75% in mathematics paper (of at least 100 marks)

Tie breaking rules for UG applicants with the same aggregate:
(i) Mathematics marks at 12th level will be considered for ranking of bunched students;
(ii)  For students securing the same marks in mathematics, the marks obtained in the first language in the respective boards will be the criterion of ranking
