Yes, you can update your category to General-EWS for JEE Mains Session 2 if NTA allows category modifications during the correction window . When the correction period opens, log in to the official JEE website , edit your category, and upload a valid EWS certificate issued before the deadline. Ensure the document meets NTA's requirements to avoid any issues. If changes are not permitted, you will have to continue under General category . Always check the official NTA notification for the latest guidelines regarding category updates.

Hello

Yes, you can change your category from General to General-EWS for JEE Main Session 2 if NTA allows category modifications during the correction window.

Here’s what you need to do:

1. Wait for the Correction Window : NTA will open the correction window for Session 2 after the registration closes.

2. Update Your Category: Log in to the JEE Main portal and change your category from General to EWS (if the option is available).

3. Upload Your EWS Certificate:  You will need to upload a valid EWS certificate issued after April 1, 2024 as per NTA guidelines.

If not allowed, you can still use your EWS certificate for JoSAA counseling .
