Hi,

The marks required for admission varies from year to year as they depend on factors like category,. number of student applied, marks obtained, seat available etc.

However with previous years cutoff analysis you can have an idea about your admission chances. As per the previous years cutoff for maharashtra state medical colleges https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-maharashtra

As per the previous years cutoff the chances of getting admission in government medical colleges are low. However you can try for some colleges whose cutoff remains usually low. Some of such colleges are -

Government medical college akola

Indian Institute of Medical Science and Research, Jalna

Prakash Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Sangli

To know more about your admission. chances in different mbbs medical colleges you can use the neet college predictor tool. The link for which is -

Hope it helps.

Hi

You have not mentioned the category you belong to, so I am  assuming  you from general category

It's quite difficult to predict that whether you will get  seat or not as  cut off marks for medical colleges keeps changing every year  depending upon various factors like  number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the examination etc.

But when we go through previous data then it suggests that in general with 478 marks you hold  a very low chance to get a seat in a Government Medical College

For example,
in neet  2019, 539 marks for general category was the lowest marks required to  get an mbbs seat in    a government medical college under Maharashtra state quota  and  it was for Government Medical College, Gondia

You have chances in private medical colleges and deemed universities

To get the list of colleges in which you have chances, you can go through our college predictor at

https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

It gives you a personalized report with top college in which you have chances for admission , with the help of predicted colleges you can make better choice while filling your choices of colleges during your counselling

Thankyou
