It depends upon the JEE Main and JEE Advance cut offs, If You manage to qualify the exam by achieving the cut off, You can apply for JOSAA Counselling. It should be noted the cut off for EWS/SC/ST/FEMALES/OBC category is lower than the general category

If you manage to qualify JEE Main Cutoff, You would be eligible for JEE Advance which is the intake exam for IITs as mentioned above.

However It is usually advised to fill the choices as per the preference of colleges and departments, for example CSE in NIT Trichy is your priority followed by CSE in NIT Warangal, you can fill CSE at NIT Trichy at serial number 1 and CSE at NIT Warangal at serial number 2 and so on and so forth. However to get any NIT, you must have qualified JEE Mains and to get any IIT, you must have qualifies JEE Advanced

But the previous cut offs of colleges should be taken in consideration, it is better to research over the cut off of colleges then make a preference list of colleges and fill accordingly

For the college preferences and the courses provided by these colleges and to know which colleges participate in the JOSAA counselling, please go to the below mentioned link: https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/josaa-participating-institutes/amp

Congrats for it's a decent percentile.

first, understand the meaning of percentile,94 percentile means (100-94)% of the total student who wrote the exam are above you i.e 6% of total people In 2019,9.65lakh student gives exam now your rank  57900.

So check from previous year rank list...Is it available good NIT or IIIT.

Hi Ganesh!

It is happy to see that you have secured a very decent score in your JEE mains exam. Congratulations! Securing 94 percentile is not an easy task, as this exam is attempted by many candidates and you have got a place in one of the top performing candidates. As far as you have raised the doubt of admission in NIT or IIT, it can be assured that you may get through one of the institute and secure a seat for pursuing your degree.

It would be good if you have a course decided beforehand which you wish to pursue after you complete your high school studies. It is preferrable that you choose a course for your undergraduate based on your interests and ambition, and should not be influenced by any factors like sentiments, peer pressure, etc. You firstly need to decide upon your goals and ambition in life. This would guide you in choosing the course designed for you. By pursuing a degree in courses which is based on your passion, it gives you a dedication so as to keep the spirits high. As engineering stream is considered, you are offered a varied number of courses to choose, ranging from Aeronautical Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc. Applying to these courses must be decided after you take suggestions from your elders, seniors, etc. as they might give you the right pathway towards choosing the best amongst them. The right decision needs to be undertaken by yourself by thinking and researching the available options in the market. Now, as far as today's competitive world is concerned, the world is digitizing at a rapid rate, so it is assumed that students must be digitally active and thus, courses in IT sector is preferred by many. Choose your course in your admission based on your interest. Depending upon you grasping of other skills in the field, you get through a job and paid well, which means that when you enroll in a good college, you are automatically towards the pathway to a brighter future, led by your efforts.

Happy studying and all the best!

Hello aspirant,

As if now cutoff rank is not out so please wait for cutoff. Because percentile is given according to the top score in January with your score not with total marks.
