See, the ideal choice would have been that you should have taken NIT Warangal CSE at the drop of a hat and would not have looked at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad Mechanical branch. I am providing you with the placement stats of both the programs below:

NIT WARANGAL CSE:

Highest: 62.5 LPA

Average: 25.5 LPA

IIT (ISM) DHANBAD MECHANICAL

Highest: 17 LPA

Average: 13 LPA

So, going by the data, you should have taken NIT Warangal CSE, but IIT Dhanbad is a mine of companies, which means that all the major companies which recruit from India, recruit from IIT Dhanbad. So, if you study CS subjects by your own, as many people do, and do CP well, then you can also get placements at par with CSE students, so do work hard.

Hope I have answered your question. All the best!
