First thing that matters most is that in which branch you are interested. If you are interested in electronics and communication go for it. IIT Kharagpur is old iit and is always in top iits list.

Electronics and communication is a demanding branch after computer Science. And if you study this in IIT kgp it will become more beneficial for your future. If you want to get the review about the college talk to some people working there and read some blogs, it will help you.

IIT Kharagpur in general does not publish complete placements anywhere. So it is kind of difficult to get accurate information. But overall placement of college is brilliant.

And one important thing I want to tell you that.. please don't go blindly behind the placements. You are going to study in the IIT and you need to understand that this is not a business plan.
