Well Aditi you have an average rank in NIMCET general category which is 1622. Now this rank won't be enough to get you in nit. Considering previous year closing ranks for different nit I see that the rank went upto maximum around 800 for general category. 

So considering it you won't be able to get a seat in nit. 

Now about IPU as you know that IPU started accepting NIMCET scores from this year. So there is no previous record of what is the cutoff. So we can't predict which college will you get. But a rough approximation you might be able to get a seat in IPU.
