Hello,

MBA: A Master in Business Administration (MBA) is a degree course offered by the colleges affiliated to the universities. So, only universities can offer MBA programmes.

Most of the people, after gaining one or two year experience in management field, think of pursuing an MBA or a PGDM course, so as to further polish their credentials and job prospects. While many think that there is a difference between the two, few also perceive both as the same degree, with just a difference in the name. It is very much important for an individual to understand how both of them differ from each other and what their relevance is.

An MBA institute will be following a fixed curriculum as it will be based on the university guidelines. It gives you immense opportunities in your career.

I wish you all the best.

Cheers !!

MBA is a 2 year post graduate course. The most common types of MBA courses are Full-time MBA, Executive MBA, Part time MBA, Correspondence Course, Distance MBA Courses, Online MBA courses.

The core courses in an MBA program cover various areas of business such as accounting, finance, marketing, human resources, operations, and statistics.

The best MBA colleges not only include the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) but more other university affiliated and private MBA colleges who are doing much better than many IIMs. There is no doubt that top 3 IIMs- IIM Ahmedabad, Bangalore and Calcutta are still occupying the top positions in India but the list of best MBA colleges now includes many B-schools in non-IIM category.

The best MBA colleges and many IIMs have similar fee structure but the IIMs placements, IIM Admission process and the IIMs average salary in placement lag behind in number of these best MBA colleges.

Other than best IIMs in India, the best MBA colleges are university departments like FMS Delhi; IIFT Delhi; NMIMS Mumbai; Management departments in IITs; JBIMS Mumbai; SPJIMR Mumbai; MDI Gurgaon, IMI New Delhi, IMT Ghaziabad among others.

Common Admission Test is the first thing that comes to our mind when we think of MBA entrance exams. Most B-Schools in India accept CAT scores for admission. XAT, MAT and CMAT are next on the list. Then comes SNAP, NMAT, GMAT and so on. Overall, you should take about two to three exams in an academic season.

For CAT, applications are already ongoing and one needs 50% in graduation to apply for the entrance.

The placements are good and with an excellent past performance grade and entrance exam results you can earn upto 5-8 lakhs in a year initially.Hope this helps.

Hope this helps.
