Thapar University of Engineering,Patiala has the good placements. In 2018-19 Academic year 282 Campanies visited the campus. 950 students got the single offer, 22 students got the multiple offers total 972 students placed in the placement.

Thapar University is amongst the prestigious institutions and has been offering high placements since past 7 years.

The Center for Industrial Liasion & Placement (CILP) helps arrange campus interviews for students who are seeking placements in public and private companies. The activities of the club include Industry Institute Interaction, Summer Training Programme and many other facilities.

In 2017, around 223 companies visited TIET, which selected 1268 students from various streams. Every year, industry giants such as IBM, Wipro, TCS, Infosys and Accenture come for mass recruitment of the students who are soon to graduate.
