Hi,
In terms of education and support provided by faculty (mainly in research ) it provides good infra and more over it's better than few Nit's not all . SASTRA has just recently started earning its name as one of the top private engineering colleges in India. Compared to the NITs (which are well established and renowned worldwide). So it depends on course, and branch you are taking.

Yes, cse as sastra university is good . Its has good placement record comparatively. The company like tcs, Amazon have huge placement opportunities
