Hello,

There is no disadvantage actually. Biotechnology is a growing sector in india and all over world. Many countries including Indian is investing heavily on Biotechnology sector. And considering the recent outbreaks of may diseases, all countries now need a high tech healthcare system and Biotechnology is very important sector especially in research . So, if  are thinking of going for Biotech course then you can surely go for it.
