see jee main exam is a competitive exam, and there is no pass marks rules are applied. since every year cutoff scores changes and it depends on various factors like number of participants, questions difficulty level, seat matrix, your branch of engineering etc.

however as per the previous years records, if you get 250+ score out of 300 in jee main exam, you have decent chances for nits and other government colleges.
