The admission is taken usually on the basis of entrance test specific to the courses. For example for bachelor of sciences admission is taken on the basis of jee main, kvpy, iisc aptitude test. Admission to msc program is given on the basis of iit jam. For M.E /M.tech through gate. Students are required to apply for the par4 course. Then counselling and further admission procedure are taken for admission.

Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore is a public ,research university  that offers higher education and research in various fields of science, technology, engineering ,management and design.There is only one  UG program offered and it is a four year Bachelor of Science(Research) program.The eligibility criteria to apply for the same is to have a minimum of 60% marks in science subjects in class 12.The selection of candidates is based on the score in any one of the following exams -  KVPY, IIT JEE Main/Advanced and NEET UG.
