Nit rourkela has an amazing placement cell which provides paid internship and research opportunities to it's students. Almost 80 percent of the ece students received paid internship offers throughout their course.

For the placements, nit rourkela comes second to none especially for cse and ece branch students which usually take up most of the job opportunities provided.The highest package for an ece student go upto 35-40 LPA. The lowest being around 4-5 LPA. The average is around 9-11 LPA.
