What is the difference between MIT-SOM and MIT-WPU? which is better among them from view point of placement?

MIT-World Peace University (MIT-WPU) is situated in Pune- the cultural capital of Maharashtra. MIT Group of Institutions was established as a society and charitable trust. MIT Group provides education in the fields of Engineering, Medicine, Pharmacy, Marine Engineering, Insurance, Distance Education, Telecom Management, Lighting, Design, Food & Technology, Retail Management, and Masters in Business Administration, School of Government and also School of Education.  


MIT-Pune was formely affiliated to Pune university. In 2017 ,State Govt. recognised MIT as a private university. MIT-WPU is now an university approved by UGC. MIT-WPU ,have its own methodology of syllabus and teaching with flexible credit system.

MIT-WPU has many sister institutes under it and MIT-School of Management (MIT-SOM) is one of them.MIT School of Management comes under flagship of Maharashtra Academy of Engineering and Educational Research (MAEER). It is first School in Management and Information Technology Education under MIT Group. 

Infrastructure : MIT campus which feels like a small township in itself. MIT School of Management, MIT School of Business, MIT College of Pharmacy, MITCOE andMACS many other MIT Colleges are part of the same campus as Maharashtra Institute of Technology (MIT). The infrastructure is top notch. Classrooms are airy, labs are excellent and well-equipped. The library is MASSIVE! There are gardens and lawns, football fields, basketball & volleyball courts, space & facilities for indoor games, you name it! 

Faculty: The faculty is good. There are learned senior Ph.D. professors every department have excellent professors as well. Crowd: The MIT campus has so many different colleges that the overall crowd is bound to be a wonderful mix. 

Placements: The usual suspects (Infosys, TCS) grab students in numbers, but MIT also has Microsoft and Deloitte picking up a few students.there is around 180 companies who visit MIT every year, Global leader Shell recruits Petroleum students in bulk too. MIT offers nearly 80% placements. Average package in MBA reaches to nearly 5.23 lacs and highest to 10 lacs.
