Campus: Though not in the heart of Pune, MACS (MIT), Kothrud has pretty good accessibility.Numerous PMT buses drop you at the main road from where the college is a pleasant 800-metre walk (pleasant because the entire road has trees on both sides and thus it's never too hot, even in summers. And even if you do have to face problems travelling to MIT, it's still worth the pain. Infrastructure : MIT campus which feels like a small township in itself. MIT School of Management, MIT School of Business, MIT College of Pharmacy, MITCOE andMACS many other MIT Colleges are part of the same campus as Maharashtra Institute of Technology (MIT). The infrastructure is top notch. Classrooms are airy, labs are excellent and well-equipped. The library is MASSIVE! There are gardens and lawns, football fields, basketball & volleyball courts, space & facilities for indoor games, you name it! Faculty: The faculty is really good. There are learned senior Ph.D. professors every department have excellent professors as well. Crowd: The MIT campus has so many different colleges that the overall crowd is bound to be a wonderful mix. They have a good cosmopolitan crowd. The environment is good and decently multicultural. MIT, in particular, being amongst the top colleges not only in Pune but all over the country, invites top scorers, smart chaps and one of the most brilliant minds. Additionally, there are all kinds of people here; technically inclined nerds, geeks, rock-music lovers, sports enthusiasts, guitar players, hot girls, English-speaking guys ;) and a few villagers as well. Hangouts: The cold coffee at the nearby Durga café is famous throughout Pune, and for good reason. Other hangouts are FC road, JM road, City Pride mall, and the ‘tapris’ around MIT. Richie Rich's Ice Tea (priced at just Rs. 10!) and Veg Cheese Overload Grilled sandwich are a must try here. Canteen: It's rather expensive for a college, with even a sada dosa costing you as much as 35! However, they say that the Punjabi thali is a must-have. The canteen is sufficiently big with enough seating arrangements and good ventilation Festivals: MIT hosts a massive national level sports festival called Summit every year. The technical festivals are called Accelerate and Intechxication. The cultural fest, Udhaan, is held in the first week of February.MIT host national level conference BCS bhartiye chhatra sansad in which eminent personality from all over the world come and intract with direct to the audience.its a 3 day summit. All sister institute of MIT host it together. Placements: The usual suspects (Infosys, TCS) grab students in numbers, but MIT also has Microsoft and Deloitte picking up a few students.there is around 180 companies who visit MIT every year, Global leader Shell recruits Petroleum students in bulk too. MIT offers nearly 100% placements. And its true.

Yes, It's good to be in MITSOM. College faculties are great and helpful. Industrial exposure is good. Average package in MITSOM is 3.5 lacs. You can have this college for your future development regarding MBA degree.Stupidsid.com Solved Question Papers To boost your academic performance Sign Up Start Studying Write answers - Home page MIT School of Management (MITSOM), Kothrud Location: Though not in the heart of Pune, MIT School of Management, Kothrud has very very good accessibility. There are special buses for MIT from Katraj, as well as a few other places. So getting to the college is not very hard, even if you don’t have your own vehicle. But again, in over 50% of the students have their own bikes. Infrastructure: The building and the campus of certainly look grand, and the classes are well furnished and equipped from the inside too. With the kind of facilities provided, the students are bound to be satisfied, but one thing is an issue here. All the classes are equipped with CCTV cameras, so your activities are monitored; invasion of privacy as some might call it is a bit of a downside. Otherwise the entire campus is wi-fi enabled, so internet connectivity is available almost everywhere. The labs are air-conditioned, equipped with the right kind of audio visual equipment i.e. mic and projectors. The seminar halls are pretty good, and so are the study halls very spacious. The library is stocked with a lot of books, around 2.5 Lakh volumes; the library is certainly a highlight. Courses Offered under the University of Pune: • Master of Business Administration (MBA) • Master of Computer Applications (MCA) • Master in Marketing Management (MMM) • Master of Personnel Management (MPM) • Post-Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM) Fees and Placements: The fees at MITSOM, is Rs. 1.25 Lakh per year. The placement scene at MITSOM is not bad at all. All you need to do, is religiously maintain an aggregate of over 60% which makes you eligible for placement at most of the companies coming over to the college. The college does its part in getting companies over to the campus, there on the students have to show their mettle. The average salary ranges from about Rs. 3.5 Lakh to 4 Lakh, and the highest has gone till Rs.8 Lakh per annum. Faculty: The students say that only the ones that are good, are very good. And the rest are just there to make their presence felt. So in all, say around 70% fall in the better teacher’s category, the rest you know. Most of them are experienced nevertheless, with at least 3-4 years of industry experience. Every week 2 guest lecturers are invited to take their subject lectures. The guest faculty are generally interesting and knowledgeable. Seminars & Industry Interaction: There is always something or the other that keeps coming up in the college. There are Forums that manage these events, like there is an HR Forum, Marketing Forum, Advertising Forum and some other committees. Industrial visits are organised twice in a year, which include a national and international Industrial visit. A student recalls, the Bangalore IV, as a good learning experience, where they had visited, IIM-B campus, Infosys, and 5 other companies. The international IV was at Singapore, Phillipines, Thailand, ad Malayasia. Crowd & Campus life: The crowd is diverse and certainly very friendly here. In fact there are even a couple of foreign students every year. In terms of students having previous work experience, around 10% have worked in the industry, and the rest are freshers. The one thing peculiar about the college is discipline, which needs to be maintained all the time. Every task needs to be done on time. Attendance has to be maintained at 90%, which till 75% is acceptable, beyond that is a BIG problem. Internal marks are affected, and in worse cases, the student is not allowed to appear for the exams. Festival: ‘MPOWER’ is the inter-college annual festival of the MITSOM, generally held during February/March period. Students Parliament is also very famous, and big guests have come to be a part of the fest.
