GATE is not mandatory for MTech admission at MIT Manipal; however, candidates with a valid GATE score are given preference. Those without a GATE score can still apply and must appear for the MET conducted by MAHE. Admission is based on merit, determined by the scores obtained in either GATE or MET, followed by online counselling, document verification, and fee submission.
