The Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani, popularly known as BITS Pilani, was established in 1964.

BITS Pilani enjoys healthy placement drives. Almost 90 percent of its students get placed in top companies.

Bits Pilani is a privately funded institution unlike the IIT's and the NIT's. So the fees is higher than these government aided colleges.

BITS being a private college, is expensive to study in. The fees comes between 1lakh to 2 lakh a semester depending on the campus.

There are seven semesters in BTech in BITS.
