I don't think there is a specified gender ratio that exist in institutes. But the institutes like NITs, IITs etc. release opening and closing ranks during counselling rounds in a manner to balance the gender ratio. There are rounds where female candidates are called for in order to fill the seats when they think number of male candidates are exceeding.
