National Institute of Technology (NIT) Manipur scholarships for the students are awarded by the AICTE (All India Council of Technical Education), UGC (University Grants Commission), Scholarships granted by respective State Governments, National Level Scholarships offered by the MHRD (Ministry of Human Resource Development). NIT Manipur Scholarships

The following are the scholarships offered by the Central Government of India

·       Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme for students belonging to minority category.

·       Post-Matric Scholarship schemes for students belonging to the physically disabled category.

·       Top-Class Education Scheme for students belonging to the SC category.

·       National Fellowship and Scholarship for Higher Education of students belonging to ST category.

·       Top Class Education Scheme for students belonging to the ST category.

·       National Means cum Merit Scholarship.

·       Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for students pursuing higher education in college and universities.

The following are the National Institute of Technology scholarships granted by the AICTE (All India Council of Technical Education):

1. ISHAN UDAY Scholarship scheme for students belonging to the North Eastern Region- Under this scheme, Rs. 7,800 per month is the scholarship amount awarded to the eligible students.

2. Post-Graduation Scholarship Scheme for students belonging to the SC/ST category pursuing higher education- Under this scheme, the eligible candidates are offered a scholarship sum of Rs, 4,500 per month.

3. Pragati Scholarship Scheme for girl students pursuing a technical degree- The amount of scholarship offered by this scheme is Rs. 50,000 per month.

4. Saksham Scholarship Scheme for students belonging to the Specially Abled category pursuing technical education- Under this scheme, the eligible candidates can avail of the scholarship amount of Rs. 50,000 per annum.

The below mentioned NIT Manipur scholarships are made available to the students by the MHRD (Ministry of Human Resource Development):

1. Ishan Uday Special Scholarship scheme for students belonging to the north-eastern region pursuing technical/general degree- The amount of scholarship for a general degree is Rs. 5,400 per month and for technical/profession courses is Rs. 7,800 per month.

2. Indira Gandhi Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child pursuing Post Graduation courses

3. Scholarship for 1st and 2nd rank holders in any university in post-graduation courses

4. Post-Graduation Scholarship scheme for students belonging to the SC/ST category pursuing professional courses- The amount of scholarship offered under this scheme is Rs. 70,000 per month.
