After the seat allotment in 1st round , you will be asked if whether you are with the branch or college. If your answer is yes, then the official will choose freeze option.

If not , then you will be given two option 

• Slide: same college, different branch
• Float:different college, different branch.

This is done at the time of seat acceptance after the 1st round seat allotment.

Well the thing is that after first round seat allotment you have to choose something out of these three options.

After first set of seat allotment you will be asked whether you are happy with the alloted branch and the collage or not.

If yes you freeze.

If not you have 2 options…

Slide i.e you can go to a preffered branch of your higher preference in same institute.

Float i.e you can go to a different institution different branch of your higher preference.
