The admission process is done on the basis of your JEE MAINS AIR (All India Ranks).

AIR is calculated by your JEE MAINS marks and also by your marks in the plus twos whereas in some states it is calculated only on the basis of your JEE marks.

For General category students, you need to have your AIR below the given figures for the given branches.

Computer -6k

Mechanical-13k

EC - 13k

Chemical- 20k

Civil- 24k

Electrical -16k.

If you have decent marks in the plus twos, anything above 160 in MAINS will be good.

According, to previous year cut off you should have around 165 marks in JEE Main to get SVNIT Surat in general category other state quota.
