For IIMs, necessary criteria for 2 year programs is that you need to get very high percentiles in Cat. But if you are a foreign national, Gmat is acceptable in your application. Instead if you have more than 5 years and preferably less than 12 years of workex, you can enroll for EPGP program through Gmat. The range for Gmat scores is 690-760.

Apart from this they clearly mention that work-ex should be valid. Generally Home Business or related domains are not preffered, unless you have a proffesional backup, for example if you are a part of a startup with Amazon and working from Home and have made it big over the years, it is acceptable.

If you are an Indian resident, then you would have to appear for the Common Admission Test if you are planning to take admission in 2 year post graduate program in IIMs. GMAT Score is only accepted for foreign residents who wish to persue the PGP course. However, GMAT scores are accepted in IIMs for 1 year Executive courses. You need to have 5 years of work experience for EPGP Programs. The GMAT Scores for EPGP range from 690-780.
