JEE mains is mendetory for both branches with good rank.

I refer you to choose acccording to you future preferences.

After biotech DTU most of the students either go for research or for higher studies like M.tech , otherwise there are some jobs on offer in tech componies.

DTU ask for an aggregate of 60% or more in PCM group and passing them along with english in class 12th.

For core chemical engineering NIT jalandhar is not that much suitable.

I would suggest you to choose chemical stream because if you see recent trends chemical engineering is better than that of Biotechnology in terms of placement and research work.
