Dear Swara,

B.Tech in Food Technology is a 4 year UG course which deals with the study of food processing and applications to increase the duration of product.  You must have completed 10+2 with at least 60 per cent aggregate with Physics, Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry or Biology or Biotechnology as optional subjects.

Chemistry is one of the subjects required in B.Tech food technology. In order to be strong in it, you must:

1. Have good knowledge about the subject and mainly your weak areas in it.

2. Learn Chemistry from an excellent coaching centre.

3. Read various books in Chemistry.

4. Watch Chemistry experiments in YouTube to know how innovative the subject is.

5. Forget the fact that you are weak in Chemistry. Then you can definitely become an expert in this subject.
