Hello,

First of all, the only eligibility to appear for UPSC is to have passed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university. Final year candidates too are eligible. There's no doubt that UPSC is more humanities oriented, but people from other streams too have qualified this exam and continue to do so till today. If you are more inclined towards humanities, then you can pursue your studies keeping the optional subject in mind and it's best if you choose it among geography, history, political science, economics, sociology etc.
