Central University of Andhra Pradesh is the 47th Central University in India The Admission of this university is based on CUCET (Central Universities Common Entrance Test) is a national level test which is conducted every year in the month of May-June.  A bill was approved in July 2018  and the transit campus of the university, at the IT Business Incubation Centre, The JNTU Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Anantapur was inaugurated in August 2018.
