I hope CSE the better one to take. According to present situations, there are more chances of getting into good companies(placements) through CSE. Now a days more companies are preferring the students who are good at communication skills, coding. Mainly companies choose a higher number of CSE candidates because they are good at coding. A software developer needs a good code to create a program which develops the software .CSE branch core subject is coding, their main intention is to write good code to get proper output.

IT and CSE are two different branches having maximum similarlity at NIT Kurukshetra. The major difference is in terms of curriculum.

IT - Major subjects are Web Development, Management Information System, Ethical Hacking, Language scripting, Big Data Analysis, Predictive Analytics, Database Management, Cloud Computing.

CSE - Hardware Routing, Network Management, Networking Analytics, Artifical Intelligence, Hardware Coupling, Microprocessor, Chip Designing, etc.

So, IT is specific to applications of Information Technology across Industry whereas CSE is more inclined towards hardware and software integration and its cross domain uses.

CSE provides a more comprehensive 360 degree learning.
