We cannot say which is better but coming to branches we see that cse students will be placed into companies when compared to other branches. 

And while coming to colleges many like to prefer to nit 

So decision should be yours aa it is your life and not be judged by others.

deciding between branches is personal matter, decide what interests do not go for the market value of college, however placement is easy for cse than civil. both the branches are completely different in field.
