In regard to your question, both economics honours from private college, and b.com (//b.com) honours from Delhi University are both equally acceptable and favored in IIM's. I t obviously depends on you what you want to choose, and make a  career of.

Though Delhi University has a brand name, which surely plays well in your C.V. and interviews.

But again, for getting into IIM's both are equally lucrative.
