Mechanical engineering at NIT kurukshetra is better the industrial design at NIT rourkela. Mechanical engineering has more scope than industrial design engineering course. If you take mech then you can get high paid jobs. If you interested in industrial design course then go ahead with it. Otherwise take mechanical engineering course at NIT kurukshetra.
