Hello,

If we consider placement and if that is what matters to you then NIT Jamshedpur for mechanical engineering is a way better option due to factors like brand value of NITs, the location of NIT jamshedpur is in hearts of TATA Steel and also various other top companies offer placement in NIT Jamshedpur.So, in my opinion you should go for NIT.
However of we consider quality education then IIEST is better as its under top 20 in NIRF ranking.

Hello aspirant.  Both are very good college.  But according to recent ranking by nirf iiest shibpur ki ranked top 20 college of India. So you can choose it. But if you want alumni network which is more of old college then go for nit jamshedpur.
