If you compare both these colleges in rank point of view then VIT>SRM
If you compare placement and infrastructure point of view then VIT=SRM
If you compare in respect of package point of view then VIT=SRM
If you compare collaboration with other universities, industries etc then VIT>SRM
If you compare in respect of no of student's in every branch then VIT=SRM .

So it totally depend upon you on what factor you are looking to any College.
