By comparing among both these colleges VIT will be better than SRM but as you are talking about the SRM kattankulathur campus and  VIT Bhopal among both these colleges SRM main campus will be faar better than vit bhopal because Bhopal campus is a new campus of VIT and it is not so much developed.
Comparing to SRM kattankulathur campus it has all the facilities as well study environment which you are searching in a good college.
So wherever you go always try to opt the main campus of any University.
