Clear difference is that if you are into research oriented field , interested in finding and learning new things then IIEST is the best.

If you just want an organised way of getting a good pay of job and mtech from esteemed institution then IIT is the best.

Find which category you belong to !

VSLI has got really good scope in future.

Studying in IIT is like a dream to every student ,if you are one among them....then don't miss this chance.

My suggestion is prefer VSLI IIT .

But if you are interested in research go for IIEST.

You should definitely go for IIT Dhanbad if you want to pursue MTech rather than IIEST Shibpur. Though Shibpur's is good but you'll have more opportunities in IIT Dhanbad as more companies visit the campus as comp to Shibpur. And it's for all the branches.
