Hello,

Its all about perception. Indian only think about the professional course that can give then high salary package. Research orientated course is not popular in India. This is the reason why India is backward in research and development field. Infrastructure is also not adequate enough that can provide a good platform for a research course. Only a few universities are proving good infra for B.Sc and M.Sc. programme. 

But scenario is changing slowly because of technological evolution. B.tech/MBA professional degree are getting flop these courses are the main reason to underrate B.Sc./M.sc..
