If any of the candidate is clearing Gate exam then he/she will get dual benefits. First one is he/she can go for higher studies in IITs and second one is candidate can go for PSU recruitment as well whereas IIT-Jam gives only one advantage that after clearing this exam you can only study in India's best institutes like IISC and IITs.
