Management courses which are about Business processes & people management. On the other hand, Engineering courses deal with technicalities and crucial concepts.

IIT Delhi has one of the top quality of Management programs. At the same time the best Engineering course in the country. So based on the type of faculty for each, Management and Engineering, defines the quality and intake of the course.

Also the infrastructure required for the course, for example, for Engineering courses, need of chemistry labs, Physics lab etc with the faculty and staff are also required. In the hand all this infrastructure isn't required for Management courses. So the fee component goes down. Hence, less fees for Management courses.

Also based on the guidelines, management of the engineering college and their future plans fee structure is always subject to change.

Every college has it own criteria for charging the fees of thier respective colleges. It all depends on the quality of infrastructure, faculty, placement and goodwill of any college. Apart from that the kind of subjects the college offers so the fees differ according to that only.
