Admission in UG courses in Delhi University is usually done on the merit of the qualifying examination, except 12 courses for which entrance test DUET is conducted which are as follows;

• Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Business Economics
• Bachelor of Management Studies
• Bachelor of Business Administration (Financial Investment Analysis)
• Bachelor of Technology (Information Technology and Mathematical Innovations)
• Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Humanities and Social Sciences
• Bachelor of Elementary Education
• Bachelor of Science in Physical Education, Health Education & Sports
• Five Year Integrated Programme in Journalism
• Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Hindustani Music- Vocal/Instrumental (Sitar/Sarod/Guitar/Violin/Santoor)
• Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Carnatic Music- Vocal/Instrumental (Veena/ Violin)
• Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Percussion Music (Tabla/Pakhawaj)

As for postgraduate courses, 50% seats are filled through entrance test and another 50% seats are filled based on the merit of the qualifying examination, this is only for the students who have completed their graduation from Delhi University.
