Data Scientist
Hi Vedant!
Since, top universities are expected to close their registration in November or December, it is preferred to attend GRE by the end of June, so that your result is available before your application in the universities. Do keep your official documents ready like VISA to avoid any hassle at the last moment.
Thank you, I hope the confusion in cleared.
Hi Prasanth,
It depends on which course you want to do ,even then its possible. There are many online courses which doesn't demand any specific eligibility or qualification or else Since you have already done MSc physics go for MBA in data science. Its eligibility is graduate in any discipline with 50% and you have to clear CAT or any other entrance exam depending on the institute or college you want to get into.

If you have any other query let us know.
All the best.
See just after BSc Physics you will not get a job in Data Science but if you go for MSc in Astronomy or MSc in Data Science course then you can go for it. Most of the people who work in the field of Astronomy and Astrophysics usually get the most exposure towards data science and data analysis. So you can pursue this in order to have a good career ahead.

Dear Student,
To become a data scientist, there are various steps, mentioned below :-
1. Complete 10+2 - Students are expected to complete the 10 + 2 successfully by obtaining at least 50 per cent marks from any recognized boards of India in the science stream consisting of physics, chemistry, and mathematics, computer science as compulsory subjects. They also need to study economics and statistics to get a better and clearer understanding of the course.
2. Entrance Examination - Many institutes and colleges undertake admissions examinations. The admissions are received mostly on the basis of the candidates' results in the entrance test. There are also other universities that offer admissions on a merit basis i.e. 10+2 passing marks. The selection criteria may differ in terms of marks and the enrollment procedure from university to university. Popular examinations are :- JEE Mains, JEE Advanced, VITEEE, BITSAT, SRMJEE, etc.
3. Pursuing Bachelor's Degree- You could earn a Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, Social sciences, Physical sciences, and Mathematics and Statistics. The most common fields of study are Mathematics and Statistics (32%), followed by Computer Science (19%) and Engineering (16%). A degree in any of these courses will help you with the skills you need to process and analyze big data. Popular degrees are B.Tech., B.Stat. and B.Sc. etc.
4. Post-Bachelor - After completing a bachelor's degree programme, students have many choices to uplift their future careers. Here, you have 2 options :-
Option 1: Having a master's degree skills in data science, you can apply them to a wide range of tech-related career opportunities like data engineering, architectural design, or computer technology. After completion of a bachelor’s degree, students can directly opt for a master's degree in a related field like computer science, information engineering or cybersecurity will prepare you for a data science profession. Data scientists are holding more Ph.D.s than any other profession. Popular masters degree are MTech, MbA, etc.
Option 2: Students can began their work in an entry-level role in the business after their bachelor's degree programme. And then can apply for a master's degree such as MBA or M.Tech. after achieving an experience of some years.
Happy Learning!
Hi aspirants
Data analytics is widely defined as a mechanism of analyzing data sets to draw any conclusions with the assistance of specialized applications, based on the information provided.
the basic eligibility to become data scientist is doing UG in respective field such as B. Com, B.C.A , B. tech computer science engineering, B, tech data science and engineering, B. tech IT, B. stat, B. tech maths
After successful completion of a bachelor’s degree program candidates can start working at an entry-level position. After acquiring an experience of a few years, he or she can further continue his or her education and opt for a master’s degree in the related specialisation.
It is mandatory to do MCA or M. SC , if you are willing to do then you can pursue.

Good Luck!
Hello,
I hope you are doing fine, well you mentioned that you are currently pursuing Bsc. Mathematics and you want to become a Data Scientist. You can pursue MCA after your you complete your Graduation. In MCA you will be taught DBMS, DAA, AI, Python, Java, Statistics which would help to become data analyst which is the first step to become data scientist.
For data science, you should be familiar with statistics, programming like Python, an understanding of behavior.. R as well is a very important language.
I hope you find this information helpful. I wish you all the best for your future.
Good Luck
Steps to follow for becoming a data scientist :-
Hi,
Yes, You can become a data scientist after B.sc physics as your UG degree.
A bachelor's degree in physics, in my opinion, is the greatest option. To begin with, you are required to acquire a significant amount of mathematics, which is all of which is useful as a data scientist. Physics is the only major in which you learn how to model things. You don't in math. As a data scentist, you must be qualified in computer applications, phyton, java, and SQL, among other things. You may choose computer application as your minor subject. Alternatively, you can do post-graduation/MBA in data analytics for the same.
I hope this information helps.
Dear leaner,
Actually,I could have able to answer this , because iam one of the pharm-d graduates ,see if you are interested in switching career from pharmacy to data science, risky part is more than benifits ,let's take that as positive . p
After pharm-d taking up in data science is brilliant idea ,you could have impactable knowledge in both field, but the issue is you need have a bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science, statistics, if you wants to take msc in data science,
but anyone is eligible for the data science in doing so diploma in data science ,it takes you too far more ,
first stick to basics , understand stats, maths ,computer and machine learning, and the first foremost thing is learning computer language.if you are good and willing you can take anyhow .
that,s The only drawback in data science learning languages ,that could be fun if you learn with passion.
all the best
Hi Aspirant,
There are 2 ways in which you can become data scientists. One way is that you do data science degree as full time without any other side courses. And the second way is that you can pursue some other degree from a college while taking up an online/distance learning degree of Data Science. For full time degree you can take either of the BSc in Data Science, BTech in Data Science, BCA in Data Science, etc. or some specializations related to Data Science.
