According to the category rank you have mentioned in the question you cannot get any of the NITs or good GFTIs as per previous year's cut-offs but I would suggest you to sit for some state counselling because in some of the state government colleges you can get admission on such ranks.

Note that the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors.

The topic :- Gift of Imagination is a very beautiful topic that has a lot of things unexplored. If you want a story on it you can go ahead and do your research about the topic and get it done. Because I feel that the work we do ourselves gives us the maximum happiness and pride. But for key points, you can :-

1. Start off by elaboration the concept of Imagination

2. Then if its a narrative then you could bring up characters of your story give them a small back story as well and then take the story in which ever way you feel is appropriate.

3. If its not a narrative and its an essay kind of thing you can write a paragraph about the concept of mind, its way of functioning and also give a small example of someone who imagined (dreamt) and succeeded.

once there was a girl lived in a village named nancy with her elder brother and sister.she was younger than them.once she asked her brother and sister about her parents then they told her that he went to bring her toys,gifts,chocolates and dresses etc. but she was not knowing that her mother and father died years ago.one fine day while she was sleeping she got a dream that her parents came to her with toys,gifts,chocolates and dresses etc, and when she suddenly woke up it was just a dream......

The rank you are having is very low and with this rank you cannot expect anything among IIITs or GFTI as it is special round so the competition will be very tough as many students will apply for a Same seat . Also admission depends on various factors such as category, home state quota, branch selection, number of students applied, number of seats available, difficulty level of examination, etc.

First of all Congratulating you on your nice performance and I would like to tell you that based on your rank in general category and considering the fact that you belong to Obc category I feel sorry to inform you that it will be very difficult for you to get a seat in government college like nits and gfti, so think of some other college where you can take admission and don't fully depend on spot round counselling.
